Apple reveals 2017’s most popular apps, music, movies and more

“Ae Dil Hai Mushkil", “Dear Zindagi,” and “The Humma Song” Among Most Popular Entertainment Choices

Apple has unveiled its 2017 charts and trends, celebrating the most popular apps, music and movies across the App Store, Apple Music and iTunes.
Editors and curators from Apple Music, App Store and iTunes highlight great content from indie artists and developers from around the globe.

Music

On Apple Music, The Humma Song gets top song honours, followed by Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” while Pritam’s “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" tops album of the year.

Apps

App Store editors identify four breakout trends in app culture for 2017: the introduction of AR (augmented reality) apps and games, the rise of real-time competitive gaming and apps enabling photo and video editing.
